Moltair builds and maintains websites for local businesses. This policy explains what personal information we handle, why we handle it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Moltair (“we”, “us”) is a website design and maintenance business based in Idaho, United States. For anything in this policy, contact support@moltair.app. Our postal address is available on request.
Moltair is a business-to-business service intended for adults. We do not collect information from anyone under 18.
This distinction matters, because it determines who you should talk to about your data.
For our own customers, prospective customers, and visitors to our website, we decide how and why information is used. We are responsible for that data and you can contact us directly about it.
When someone fills in a contact form on a website we built for a client, that information belongs to that business, not to us. We only pass it along on their instruction. If you submitted an enquiry to one of our clients and want it removed, contact that business — though you are welcome to reach us and we will help you get to the right place.
We keep publicly listed business information — business name, address, phone number, website, and public Google rating — together with our own notes on whether we have been in contact. This is business contact information drawn from public listings, not private information about individuals.
Websites we build may include a contact form. When a customer submits one, we pass the name, email address, phone number, and message straight to that business’s own inbox.
We do not store contact form submissions. They are delivered by email and are not retained in our systems. We keep no copy and cannot retrieve one later.
Sites we manage may also display:
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for advertising. We do not use it to build profiles of individuals.
We use a small number of established providers to run the service. Each receives only what it needs in order to do its job.
| Provider | What they handle |
|---|---|
| Hostinger | Server hosting, databases, and email delivery |
| Stripe | Card payments and subscriptions |
| Site analytics, reviews, business listings, and performance testing | |
| Square | Catalogue and gift card features, where a client uses them |
| Meta (Instagram) | Instagram feeds, where a client has connected their account |
| Pushover | Operational alerts to Moltair |
We never see your card details. Payments are handled on Stripe’s own hosted checkout. Card numbers do not pass through, and are not stored on, our systems.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our clients, or the safety of others.
The Moltair client portal and admin use a single session cookie, set when you sign in and necessary for the site to function. It is not used for advertising or for tracking you across other websites.
Client websites we build may include Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies to measure traffic. Where that applies, it is described on that website.
| Information | Retention |
|---|---|
| Contact form submissions | Not stored at all |
| Client account and billing records | While you are a client, then up to 7 years for tax and accounting |
| Support tickets and portal messages | While you are a client, then up to 2 years |
| Enquiries that do not become clients | Up to 2 years |
| Prospect business records | Until we are asked to remove them, or they cease to be relevant |
| Server logs | Approximately 30 days |
No system is perfectly secure and we do not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and any relevant authority without undue delay.
You can ask us to:
Email support@moltair.app and we will respond within 30 days. We will never charge you for making a request, nor treat you differently for having made one.
If your enquiry was submitted through one of our clients’ websites, that business controls it — contact them, and we will help you reach them if needed.
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will notify clients by email.
